Thai Boxing or Muay Thai is one of the most complete boxing disciplines, it includes use of foot fists, knees, elbows and standing wrestling. Although it sometimes suffers from a bad reputation and it is a sport inked in Thai culture and Buddhism. The Muay Thai is indeed full of symbols the main ones being:
The Mongkon: The Mongkon is placed on the head and was blessed by a monk, it aims to protect the fighter from injury, the fighter wears it while he realizes his Ram Muay then removes him for the fight
The Ram Muay: a ritual dance performed before the fight and also used as a warm-up for the fighters, originally each camp had its own dance so we could guess the origin of the boxer according to his Ram Muay
